Today in school I learned an aerial during lunch recess, with my friends, Isabel and Adya. If you don’t know what an aerial it is a cartwheel with no hands and you do not touch the ground. Me and my friend had a lot of fun learning it i hope you liked it and i hope some day you try it out to bye.

Hand Ball

Have you wonder what game is like soccer but not is it . In our school we play  it  with  once someone has the ball  he or she can nat move only pivt one leg.The field is like this strate and  there are d s where only one guy is allowed and can can’t take a ball out of someone's hand  and you can not  touch if you do red card taking  ball green if not siver if it is yellow or red.Tell me how you play.

In P.E. we played a game of handball and in this game we had to get as many goals as we can so we
can win the game but a rule was that if a player (not the goal keeper) from the same team steps into the goalies area then the opponent gets a penalty and if they score it’s a goal but if they don’t score then it is a goal keppers ball because it went into his area and if you push or shove someone then you are out of the game for a few minutes. Now that you know how to play go on!

“ZZZZZ”! went the makey board when we clicked the button. It was an exhausting morning when my groups makey board wasn’t working for our body systems project. The lights were lighting up,but it wasn’t working.

we tried switching boards and it still wouldn’t work. We paced through the overfilled hallway to the science class to get help from a teacher but we saw that he was really busy so we tried to problem solve. we switched boards again and then when we looked at the board close up we saw that a piece of it chipped off. I got more pissed than hulk when he’s mad. I was pissed because when we got it to work it was the end of my time to share in asb unplugged.

Handball

One day at P.E when we came in, coach already prepared what we were going to do, it was, handball. We divided the people into teams. My team was the green team and our team started playing with the blue team. The rules are simple, you need to have a medium ball and. When you have the ball you need to throw it to someone and when you get the ball you can’t move, but you can take a step then throw it. Each team has a goal and a goalie that has a base and he is the only one that can go there. There was four teams, two teams did inside and the other two went outside

The Heartbeat

In science class, we studied about the human bodies. In our last class, we studied about the heart and the circulatory system. The heart beats 5 quarts per minute, which means that it beats about 100,000 times a day. We had to partner up, and listen to your partner’s heartbeat. It was super cool! This is the process of the circulatory system; every time your heart beats, your heart pumps blood, which goes to the lungs, then to the whole body, which sends the blood back to the heart, and it keeps going on and on. All those happen only in one breath!

Speaking in a Presenting Voice

Have you ever wondered how to speak in a presenting voice? Have you wished you can? One thing that you should know about speaking in a presenting voice is that it makes stories more interesting to hear!!! I’ve studied it at school, and now I’m gonna be teaching YOU!!! I learned that in a presenting voice you have to have an expression on your sound, like you have that expression on your face. Your voice doesn’t have to be understood easily, but it should have some expression, for example, if you want to say someone shouting “Help, HELP!”, you can’t say that without the expression but  easily understood. Even if the story is interesting, and if you aren’t saying the text with expression, that spoils the whole thing. And you might want to change your voice if you are saying the dialogue of various different characters in the story to make the story sound more interesting. For example, say youo have a character that is a boy and another character that is a girl, if the you read the dialogues that the girls said, and then you want to say the dialogues of the boy, their voice has to be different from your normal voice so that the people listening to you reading thinks that the character is speaking instead of YOU speaking. In a presenting voice, you should speak almost like how the character you are saying is talking, like if the character is screaming, then if you don’t want to scream or you can’t, you can just say it with expression, and that’s even the use of expression.

Musical Drama

Musical Drama

At school, there’s a studio where you attend after school, and I attended musical drama. I think it’s a lot of fun! What we do there is dance, sing, and at some point of time, we get the scripts if we have a speaking part, a solo part, or if you have an acting part. I got the scripts last week, and I was super-excited! I got the speaking part. Even though I have only 5 lines, I was proud of my speaking part. And we practiced some songs like We Go Together, You Can’t Stop the Beat, songs like that. Sometimes only 5th graders sing some songs, and sometimes everyone sings the songs. It was a lot of fun! If you like dancing, singing, or acting, then I recommend you to join musical drama!

Tic Tac Toe Multiplication

As always, Astonishing Adya is back prevailing post about. . . Tic Tac Toe Multiplication! It is basically, a ordinary game of tic tac toe integrated with multiplication.

Here is how to play:

• Draw the 3 by 3 grid
• Number every box 1-9
• Roll a dice and write the number at the top
• Then write in the multiple in the boxes according to the number. For example, if you wanted to write it in the middle and the number the dice gave you was a 6 then you would write 30 because 6x5 is 30.
• If the person writes the wrong number then he or she skips a turn
• When somebody gets three in a row they win! :)

This is a fun educational game which integrates math and fun! Everyone likes a good game of tic tac toe multiplication and I hope you do too!!!!!!

One day in word study my I was ready to write sentences but when my teacher came she said “Today we are going to play a game called, bazinga”. The rules are simple, first you to make teams and start with 5 points, then you have some cards like double your score and minus 2 points or switch players, after you need to write a word that a person that is not playing said, finally you count your score and see who wins.

 Amazing Alveoli

In my class we are learning about the body and how the body works. My teacher assigned me with a partner and we had to research about the Alveoli. If you don’t know about the Alveoli the Alveoli are tiny sacs within our lungs that allow oxygen and carbon dioxide to move between the lungs and the bloodstream. My partner and I had so much fun.

Today I  learned the hindi numbers.Some of them are similar to the english numbers and some of them were very different.I enjoyed learning these hindi numbers up to 20.Now I know numbers from 1 to 20

A few days ago I made a drawing of a peacock,but today I put sequins on it.I think everyone put sequins on theirs.All of the peacocks looked so pretty with the sequins on them,they looked so shiny and beautiful.I enjoyed putting sequins on my drawing.

One day in P.E coach said, “Today we are going to play a game called, toxic bomb”. There was two islands and a big ball in the center of the toxic water . We needed to get the ball in the other island with balls that represented coconuts, and to get the coconut’s back, there was a person from each team that culled go to the toxic water. When the ball got to the other side, the people in that island fall and lost. My team lost all the games but one, we won. After we finished playing we throwing a ball with a partner and cached it.

What I Learned About the Digestive System

At school, in Units of Inquiry (UOI), the whole grade had to go to stations, and I will be telling you what I learned in the station where we learned about the digestive system. The process all starts when you swallow your food. So first, your mouth digests the food into small pieces. Then, you swallow it. When you swallow the food, the food mixes with saliva so that your stomach digests the food easier, so if you swallow the food without chewing it, then your stomach will have to work extra hard to digest it, since it’s not even digested yet. Then, after the stomach digests the food even more, then it goes in the small  intestine. It swirls around, and when it reaches the large intestine, it continues to swirl around until it reaches the bottom, some of it becomes a waste, which you don’t need, and that becomes the pee/poo. And that is the process of the digestive system.

Today in P.E. we played an awesome game called sharks vs sailors it was really fun! The rules are simple coach picks some kids for example coach says “ all the boys wearing green T shirts are the sharks”then they try to catch us and the only way the sharks couldn’t get us was the boats  but you couldn’t stay more than five counts, you can’t step into the ship and out of it and in it and out of it and so on . If the sharks get you you will have to go to the captains ship and he will make you stronger by giving you a work out for example push ups.

Lungs was really awesome because Mr. Zook put the air inside of lungs than lungs look like balloon because it make more bigger.Kidneys is look like  stomach I learn brain.Brain at the back help remember some really important think .It is really scary.

It was a cool morning in P.E on Tuesday when we were about to start a new unit called “Throwing and Catching”. Before we started it we played a warm up game called sharks and sailors and in it you have to run from the sharks and there are some hula hoops and the hula hoops are bases where the sharks can’t get you. if the sharks catch you then you go to the king’s ship and he will give you a consequence like 10 push-ups or and advanced push up and it is too hard to explain.

Anyways, we started a unit called “Throwing and Catching”, first coach introduced throwing and catching to us and in throwing and catching you practice overarm throws,underarm throws and skills in throwing. First we threw the ball against the wall and we had to catch it, Then we threw the ball against the wall, moved to the side and caught it and kept going like that until we went around the whole gym. After that we had to find a partner and start from the middle of the court and throw it to each other and once each of us did a good throw we took one big step back and we kept on going like that until the end of the gym and believe me, the last throw is the hardest throw. For example I threw from the end and I mistakenly threw it on someone's head.

Now I know never to take the last throw and I just wish I hadn’t hit that person’s head with the ball. On the bright side, it was only a soft ball but I still hope I didn’t hurt that person.

One day in school it was time for P.E coach made a surprised and said that we were going to learned how to strike, the coach showed the position to strike a baseball, his right leg was in front, his baseball bat was prepared to strike the ball the ball was on top of a cone and, “SPLAC” the ball went flying in the air.

On Wednesday  we  went to Mr.Cleary's class.So we had so much fun.Know it is my job is to make you.SO we sat down Mr.Cleary told us about circularSystem

then we he had a plan so I was the toe but we stared with on lung,3 blood cells  and a tab of oxen gin.After a while  Mr.Cleary said the tow will bust because it is getting oxygen and not letting any thing so we addend co2 or carbine dixasowside then we had put in food then wast.

Sharks and sailors             Feb. 15, 2016

Sharks and sailors is a game we play in our P.E. class no one ever played that version before because it only exists at ASB.

The way the game works is there has to be about 5 people or over. The amount of the taggers matter because if there is one tagger and 30 people it probably won’t work and that person will get really tired. So there should be about 2 - 3 taggers if you are playing with 15 people.

there are five hula hoops on the floor and people wearing jerseys, or the same color T- Shirt that are tagging people.

The way to play is when you have the five hula hoops in whichever order you want them in and there people running around and the sharks count to 5 and then they start running around tagging people.

Before the sharks start running around they have to stand at the front and count to 5 before they can start The people in the hoops can only be in the hoops for 5 seconds. and then you have to run somewhere else.

There is a captain who you have to go to when you get tagged when you are running and he/she will give you an order to do like pushups or jumping jacks and then you get to go back running again.

Then eventually you will change positions and take turns doing different things.

I hope this taught you how to play sharks and sailors and remember the second most important rule is to not cheat because nothing is fun for anyone even he cheater when someone cheat and no one likes a cheater

Oil Pastel Resistance Wash

As always, Astonishing Adya is back with a pleasing post about. . . The oil pastel resistant wash! It is a wash, as I mentioned, which is really smart in my opinion!

If you want to do the oil pastel resistant wash all you have to do is a few simple steps:

Oil Pastels:

1. Find a thick sheet of paper
2. Make a picture out of oil pastels. Note 1: Make sure you have part of the background showing. Note 2: Don’t use too light colours unless it is really needed.

Water Colours Setup:

1. Find as many cups as the number of colours is ( 2 colours, then two cups. Or 5 colours, so 5 cups)
2. Fill them up a quarter bit with water.
3. add in your colours, Note: make sure you have a colour in each cup.
4. Find a thick brush, have a brush per cup

Your water colors are ready!

Doing the wash:

First slowly move your brush over the picture. If you have too light colours then dodge them.  When you are done, take a tissue and dab the parts where a puddle has been created and put your masterpiece to dry in a sunny area.

This was how to do the oil pastel resistant wash!

Super Science

Super Science

On Febuary 12th we were exploring about parts of the body of a goat. Mr. Zook and Ms. Usha (Our science teachers) showed us the brain of a goat under a camera which was connected to an apple TV. The brain was so slimy and it could be tooken apart a little bit. Then he showed us the brain which had lots of veins on it, but KACHAAK! The goats heart was cut in half. Inside there were 4 chambers which 2 were left and 2 were right. The next part of the body was the kidneys, the part that filters trash/waste in your body. The last one was awesome, it was the lungs. Mr. Zook put a plastic tube through the esophagus and blew into it, the lungs got huge! Then he stopped blowing and the lungs got small. Then he told us that we could touch them the next week. When Ms. Vani (Our teaching assistant) came than she said that it was time to go.
